* R英構文（ラッセルの英文にでてくる英語の構文）のシリーズです。

would do 【・・・したものだった、よく・・・した】

* 比較的短い期間の習慣または不規則な反射的動作に用いるので、"often", "sometimes", "always"などの副詞と一緒に使われることが多い。
* "used to do (= "do"は状態を表す動詞"がくる）ほど規則的な習慣ではないために（この意味で"would"を使う場合には）状態を表す動詞とともには使わない。（参考例３を見ると、両者の違いがよく理解できます。）
