ラッセルのエッセイは、雑誌『改造』の大正10年1月号から大正12年9月号まで、15本掲載されており、大正10年1月号以外の14本のエッセイについては邦訳以外に原文が添えられています。カナダの Bertrand Russell Archives では、ラッセルの原稿を網羅的に集めていますが、愛国心に関するこの原稿だけは見つかっていません。
雑誌『改造』は、昭和30年に廃刊となり、改造社はつぶれてしまい、当時の関係者もほとんど亡くなっていますので手がかりがない状態です。（改造社社長だった山本氏の故郷に創設された川内ふるさと文学館でも所蔵していませんでした。）

The first essay Russell cotributed to Kaizo is an essay "On patriotism" as you know, but its English text was not attached, except the photograph of Russell's manuscript.
