* 『東工大英単』(p.41)の説明：シェイクスピアの時代に perspective といえば,ある特別な点から見ると絵の中に隠れていた別の絵が見えてくるような仕掛絵のことを言った。今では,消失点に向かって遠景は小さく,前景は大きく描く,「遠近画法」や「透視画法」のことを指したり,より一般に「展望,見通し」のことを指したりする。
